Highlights of our Community Partners
Since 2008, the parishioners of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart have been making teachers' wishes come true. At Christmas time, Cathedral members provide dozens of gifts from the school's wish tree; everything from Mason jars and magnets to hula hoops and paint. The materials are invaluable to our teachers and students.
The Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing staff and faculty provides health screenings for all students and TB readings for our faculty.
The Knights of Columbus provide work days and last year, they provided a regal honor guard procession for our eighth grade graduation.
Foster Grandparents Program provide seniors to assist in classrooms by reading to small groups, helping students complete class work and learn math facts.
The University of Notre Dame's Richmond Alumni Club has been a regular supporter for years. They can be seen at summer work days painting, cleaning and preparing the school. Last year, they arranged visits from the Notre Dame Glee Club and from Mike McCoy, award-winning defensive player for the Green Bay Packers and Notre Dame. The University's ACE (Alliance for Catholic Education) program provides a graduate student for two years to teach. Last year we welcomed Will Wilde as a middle school science and math teacher.
